About the role:

As our new Contract Manager, you’ll join our professional services team, providing crucial support to our Senior Legal Counsel and the wider business. You’ll take full ownership of the company's contract lifecycle, from the initial request through to execution, performance, and renewal. You will be the central point of contact for all contractual matters, partnering with teams across the business, including Sales, Marketing, Technology, and HR, to ensure every agreement is commercially sharp and strategically aligned.  Your role will be pivotal in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements such as NDA’s, MSA’s, supplier agreements and procurement contracts. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to make your mark by refining our contract management framework to drive consistency and efficiency across Gumtree. Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, you’ll support with broader legal queries as well as assist with legal compliance to ensure we keep up to date with all relevant areas of commercial and technology related laws.

What are we looking for?

• You are an expert at drafting, negotiating, and managing a variety of commercial agreements, from NDAs and MSAs to complex supplier and procurement contracts.

• You possess excellent commercial acumen, with a proven ability to analyse contracts, negotiate favourable terms, and balance risk with business objectives.

• You have hands-on experience developing and implementing contract management frameworks and processes that drive efficiency from negotiation to signature.

• You bring a good working understanding of GDPR, data privacy, and ideally, intellectual property rights in a commercial context.

• You are a natural collaborator, skilled at building relationships and providing clear, practical advice to stakeholders at all levels of the business.

• Background in digital marketplaces and/or the broader technology sector is highly desirable.
